One-shot: A Troubled Tavern
Time & Location
About the Event
A Troubled Tavern is a roleplay-heavy D&D 5e scenario, for three to six characters of level 3.
Your regular tavern has run into serious problems with their owners. They are set for foreclosure in just 24 hours’ time, unless a heroic community intervention can resolve a number of problems and ensure the Crescent Moon passes a last-chance Inspection tomorrow night.
Fortunately, you, the tavern’s regular visiting adventurers, have returned from your latest escapade just in time. After all, the Crescent Moon is the only place in town that will accept bloodstained, mud-covered adventurers, whenever they return weary from the wilderness.
Your warm beds and beer are at stake!
Characters start at level 3. Any official published material suitable for the Forgotten Realms setting is acceptable. You may select starting equipment, plus up to 50g worth of additional gear of your choice from the Players Handbook (if the characters gain any starting gold from Backgrounds, that is added to this budget). At the beginning of A Troubled Tavern, each character will roll (in game) for a starting coin purse of 1d10 gold and 3d10 silver pieces, plus a Trinket.
